What is the DFL Caucus Night?
A DFL precinct caucus is a gathering of neighbors who organize their local party unit, discuss policy issues, and elect delegates to endorse DFL candidates. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors. Council Member Jason Chavez is seeking the DFL endorsement and this is the first step in the process to help elect him.
When is the DFL Caucus Night?
Ward 9 is conducting the caucus on April 9, 2025 at 7:00PM. The location is yet to be determined.
When is the Ward 9 Convention?
The Ward 9 convention will be held on May 31, 2025. Become a delegate by caucus night to help secure the DFL endorsement for Jason Chavez. Delegates that are elected will be eligible to attend the to the Minneapolis DFL Ward 9 Convention, elected from our 9 precincts in Ward 9.
Who is eligible for the DFL Caucus?
You are 18 years of age or older by Tuesday November 7, 2023, Election Day.
You are currently a resident of the precinct you are participating in.
You consider yourself a member of the DFL Party and agree with its principles as stated in the preamble of this constitution.
You do not need to be registered to vote, and you do not need to be a documented citizen to participate.
